“I went along because of my husband but was really surprised at how much I enjoyed the day. The tour is certainly much more than just the story of Pink Floyd but they provide a good excuse to see some lovely places.” Katherine, USA

Full-Day Tour

  • Full-day tour of Cambridge and London, focusing on the lives of Pink Floyd
  • See early homes of Pink Floyd band members like David Gilmour and Syd Barrett
  • Admire traditional architecture in the university city of Cambridge
  • If you’re a fan of the Floyd then this is for you! Enjoy a day discovering the musical roots and early adventures of one of the world’s greatest bands.

Pink Floyd were a band of two cities – the ancient, medieval university city of Cambridge, and the UK’s capital of London. This great tour combines time in Cambridge and North London, giving visitors the chance to see one of England’s most attractive and historic cities and parts of London you’d otherwise not see. Cambridge offers the early homes of Dave Gilmour, Roger Waters and Syd Barrett, their schools and colleges, early gig sites and important reference points like ‘Granchester Meadows’ and Syd’s last home. Time in Cambridge of course includes a short walking tour of the historic city and university! In London, visit neighbourhoods such as Islington, Hampstead and Highgate, sites as the Floyd’s own Britannia Row studios, the school that provided the school kids choir on ‘The Wall’, the only London apartment shared by all members of the band, the Regents Street Polytechnic where the band was formed, various band member’s London homes, the famed ‘Ally Pally’ – location of the ’14-hour Technicolour Dream’ – UFO club sites, and Abbey Road recording studios! Please note; whether it is possible or not to see Battersea Power Station, the cover of ‘Animals’ album, depends on traffic.

During the day you get the full history of the band from your knowledgeable rock guide and, of course, a day listening to rare, obscure and memorable Pink Floyd music.
